Lakeside Christian School has appraised and assessed the available research on the Response to Intervention (RTI) approach taken by the Public School System. We have built a Layered Intervention Program we feel best meets the needs of our students and community.

The purpose of our Layered Intervention Programs is to identify the current knowledge base of all students and to provide each student the proper instruction and intensity based on his or her needs and as required by grade standards. We utilize curriculums that provide equity to a varied learner population through the integration of research based methods differentiating how content is presented. Each learner receives the appropriate instruction, enrichment, or intervention necessary for success at grade level.

We believe that students who have gaps in their prior learning must receive rigorous grade-level work in their classrooms, appropriate academic interventions, and any necessary cognitive remediation. Our goal is to create independent learners in the classroom.
